Tårta with anchovies
10-12 servings
Ingredients:
9 slices of dark, wholegrain bread (sweeted),
(lengthcut)
room tempered butter
Filling:
3 dl whipped cream, 2 tins of "slottskaviar",
smoked roe from cod
Garnish:
6 hardboiled eggs
20 fillets of anchovy, medium sized
parsley
Instructions:
1. Spread butter on the breadslices, whip the cream
and mix with the smoked roe.
2. Place three slices as a bottom. spread 1/3 of
the cream filling
3. Add next three slices on top in the other direction
and spread another 1/3 of the filling. Cover with the last
three breadslices, parallell with the first ones.
4. Slice the eggs and cover the top of the tarta with them.
Split the ancnovies on the length and roll them. Place them
on the eggs. Decorate with a twig of parsley.
5. Decorate the edges with the last 1/3 of the cream/roe.
This tarta is at its best when its freshly made and chilled
