I got my first Bearded Collie in 1976 - Farmarens Zivago, called "Bob". I had seen him outside my son´s daycare lots of times and I thought he was a very beautiful dog. At that time I thought he was a mixed breed. Not until later I understood that he was a Bearded Collie, a breed I then didn´t know very much about.
One day, as I walked my son to the daycare, the man that owned the dog asked me if I wanted to have him. He wasn´t able to keep him. Without thinking, I answered: "I would love to..."
That this dog had lots of problems, his old owner "forgot" to tell me! Bob was a very strongheaded beardie. Today, considering this experience, I am surprised that I even wanted to continue having this breed...
So Farmarens Zivago was my first Bearded Collie and after that there has been several. In 1982 I got the prefix Hairdog´s and has since this had a small breeding of Bearded Collies and Skyeterriers.
