Lets begin with the look of weapon. The FA MAS F1 is a bullpup and benefits of this is that the weapon is compact, but the barrel is still long. Many people doesn't like bullpups but, most of them probably doesn't like the look, but I do like it. The weapon is only 76 cm long. The magasine changes is quick to get use to, atleast it was for me. The large handle is the thing that people first notice, with is understandable. The handle is more useful than many people think, though.

The one thing that you can't miss, is the sound of the FA MAS when it fires. 1000bbs/minute. It sound as a hyperactive AEG. The magasines takes 60 bbs, so get another. You'll need it. Unless you go semiauto only, and use "One shot, One kill". The magasines is easy to reload, and not like the bent MP5 that is hard to get the bullets into. The balance of the weapon is perfect and the center of balance is over the pistolgrip.

The range is good. I have had a fair test with a MP5K. The MAS bb went another 10 meters until it droped. The barrel on the MP5K is 110mm and the MAS barrel is 488mm. Barrel length is important if you want good range. The open sights is good. There are three different rear sights, day/lowlight/night, and the frontsight has a larger sight to be used when the light is low. Very nice in low light situations. The sights has a broad setting range, which is very useful.

There is one bad thing. Sling hooks. There is no hook in the front of the gun. A sling can be attached, though it is a small problem. The F1 version has a bipod and I use it, and with the bipod out, the gun stands stable, using the magasine as the rear "bipod".
