"Absence / is not happening"

I tried to arrange a meeting between a person indoors with a view from outside. I wanted to investigate the space them between. During one part of painting this picture, I added the black stripes. I think they symbolize and show my own presence. I wanted to take part of the scene. I call it "absence" because I feel it deals about lonliness. It could also be called "waiting".
